Marco Gerbaudo
Marco Gerbaudo is a PhD student in Legal Studies, curriculum in International and European Law, at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. His research interests lie primarily in the fields of EU public law and migration law, with a particular focus on the European policies on asylum and legal migration. His last research project is focused on the analysis of the instrumentalisation process of migration undergoing in the EU. Using the recent migration crises in Turkey (March 2020), Belarus (Winter 2021) and Ukraine (2022) as case studies, the project aims to define how EU institutions, and the Commission in primis, instrumentalise migrants to pursue their policy objectives both in the fields of irregular and legal migration.
