Yaroslav Hrytsak is a professor of history at the Ukrainian Catholic University (Lviv) and director of the Institute for Historical Research at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. He has taught at Columbia University, Harvard University, and the Central European University. His book on the history of Ukraine was published by Il Mulino in Italian in April 2023 as "Storia dell'Ucraina: Dal medioevo a oggi".

Gigi Donelli is a senior editor and chief of news at Radio 24 il Sole 24 Ore, as well as having been a special envoy in Ukraine and the Balcans; he is also the co-ordinator for Radio 24 of the Euranet Plus European Radio Project.
