Alex Turrini

Alex Turrini is an Associate Professor in Public and Nonprofit Management at the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Università Bocconi, Italy. His research focuses on leadership and governance in cultural organizations; cultural philanthropy and fundraising for the arts. He is the author of numerous books and articles on these topics. His works have been published in leading journals in public administration, arts management  and cultural policy. His last book, Fundraising for the Arts, has been coauthored with Francesca Pecoraro and Mark Volpe and published by Bocconi University Press. He is Editor in Chief for the International Journal of Arts Management and Associate Editor – Europe for the Journal of Philanthropy and Marketing. From 2018 to 2020 he was Chair of the Arts Management and Arts Entrepreneurship Division at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, USA. At present he is Faculty Research Associate in cultural policies of REPGOV project (ERC – IBEI, Barcelona)
