Matteo Scotto

Matteo Scotto is currently head of the department “Research and Projects” at Villa Vigoni, the German-Italian Centre for the European Dialogue. He recently published the book “Fragile Orders. Understanding Intergovernmentalism in the Context of EU Crises and Reform Process” (Villa Vigoni Editore/Verlag, 2022). His work focuses primarily on theory and methods of European integration, and specifically on the intergovernmental dimension of the EU. He is also interested in the process of state transformation in Europe, with particular attention to its connection to the EU institutional reforms.
